Microsoft have give us a taste of what to expect from Scorpio, their next console in the Xbox One line up. Similar to the PS4 Pro, Scorpio is a mid gen upgrade aimed at the core / enthusiast gamer and will be the most powerful console ever made, when it's released later this year. The specs include a custom 2.5 GHz 8 core Jaguar CPU, a 6 TFlop Polaris GPU, 12GB of GDDR5 RAM (8GB available for games) and will also have FreeSync 2 and HDMI 2.1 built in.

They invited Digital Foundry to have a look at the specs and allowed them to be the ones to reveal what Scorpio is running under the hud, which seems to suggest they are pretty confident in the product, by letting a 3rd party be the first to talk about the specs, instead of doing it themselves.

Other details (price, games, what it looks like and release date) are expected to be revealed at E3 in a few months time.

The Nintendo Switch is Nintendo's fastest selling console in the US, with sales of 906k in March, according to the NDP Group. Nintendo's last console, the Wii U, sold roughly 890k in the US after 41 days. So the Switch has beat that in only 28 days.

The Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild also proved to be very popular, selling over 1.3 million, more than the actual Switch itself, as it appears some people are buying 2 copies, keeping sealed copies as collectors items, as they normally sell for a high price.

Persona 5 launched last week and has been a huge success for Atlus and Deep Silver. It went in at number 1 in the UK charts and is the best launch ever for a Persona game. It also sold 1.5 million copies world wide in 3 days and has been reviewing very well.
